Ben Ngubane the Chairman of Eskom, South Africa’s state-run power utility, resigned from his position earlier this week as the company reels from a series of influence-peddling allegations.

Ngubane will depart from his role after the South African government criticized the reappointment of Brian Molefe to CEO.

Zethembe Khoza, the former acting chief executive, will fill the chairman role on an interim basis.
