Switzerland has reactivated the Beznau nuclear power plant after a three-day outage in which repair work was made to a 220 KW cable from a transformer located in the facility.

According to Axpo, the energy group running the the plant, reactor number 2 of the plant was reconnected to the power grid, while number 1 has been inactive since March 205 due to technical issues.

Active since 1969, Beznau is the world’s oldest nuclear power plant.
