Transformer failure causes Romanian power plant outage

The Brazi power plant in Southern Romania, operated by OMV Petrom, has suffered a power outage due to the failure of a transformer.

According to OMV, the failure is currently under investigation, however the company is currently estimating that the plant will likely not be up and running until the end of July 2017.2

OMV Petrom is Southeastern Europe’s largest integrated oil and gas group.
