ABB has inaugurated a new high-voltage switchgear manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Jakarta, Indonesia.

This follows ABB’s 2015 establishment of a new factory for medium-voltage products, as the company continues to expand in one of Asia’s fastest-growing economies.

“This new unit underlines ABB’s commitment to Indonesia. It will support the country’s efforts to strengthen its power transmission infrastructure, enhance grid reliability and help meet the growing demand for electricity, benefitting millions of consumers,” said Giandomenico Rivetti, head of ABB’s High Voltage Products business.
