Three 40 MVA transformers are set to be replaced at the 220/132/33 Grid Station Udhampur, as well as a further two 160 MVA transformers for the substation are in procurement process in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the Minister of State for Power, Asiea Naqash, as told to the state’s House, several projects are underway in an effort to meet the expectations of the country’s goals to achieve universal household electrification cross the country.

The state government is also in the process of transferring hydroelectric projects from NHPC—an Indian Hydropower generation company—to the state.
