14 power transformers up to 8 MVA have been delivered to Egypt.

The transformers were produced by CELME, an Italian transformer manufacturer. Each transformer was designed and tested in their Montebello Vincentino plant. The deliveries all occurred during the month of May.

The new transformers are a small part of a nation-wide scheme by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to modernise and grow the country’s power grid. This project comes after a period of great political turmoil in Egypt which was exacerbated by blackouts and power shortages across the country.
