L&T Construction wins $250 million in substation orders
The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro has won over $250 million in orders for the construction of substations and transmission lines.
The $250 million orders are a mixture of both domestic and international business, with the bulk coming from the construction of substations in Kuwait.
“The business has secured major orders for constructing 22 132/11kV substations in Kuwait,” the engineering and construction major said in a BSE filing.
On top come additional orders from ongoing transmission line projects in India and in Egypt.
The Indian engineering firm has also received orders for the implementation of a high-voltage distribution system in the semi-urban and rural areas of Kharagpur and Midnapur in West Bengal.
