Voltamp completes test of new Ring Main Unit
Voltamp Transformers has successfully type tested a proto unit of 11kV Ring Main Unit.
Voltamp intends to commence commercial production of the Ring Main Unit (RMU) on a modest scale.
The RMU is a self-contained unit with protection and controls, for reliable distribution of 11KV supply.
The product, which has been developed in-house, has successfully completed all mandatory tests at accredited test labs of international repute, the company said in a statement.
Like a transformer, it finds use in electrical installations of the utility industry, infrastructure, real estate, smart cities, and compact sub-stations, among others.
