Estonian construction company AS Merko Infra has won a contract to build a 110 kV substation in the town of Jäneda.

AS Merko Infra, part of AS Merko Ehitus group, and Estonian transmission operator Elering AS entered into a contract for the construction of Jäneda 110 kV substation.

The contract includes the construction of a 110-kV switchgear in Jäneda‘s new substation together with auxiliary and control systems. Works include the construction of a control building, bays for autotransformers and reconstruction of access roads.

The contract value is approximately €1.3 million, plus value-added tax.

The construction will start in June 2019 and the works are scheduled to be completed in November 2020.
