U.S. sees 10% decrease in transformer exports for Q1 2020

U.S. exports of electrical power transformers (all sizes) decreased by 10.5% for the 1ST quarter of 2020, compared to the same quarter of last year (Q1 2019).

USA imports of electrical power transformers (all sizes) increased for the 1ST quarter of 2020 by 29.9%, compared to the same quarter of last year (Q1 2019).

According to real-time business intelligence provider Fygen, the decrease in exports was mostly influenced by the segments of medium (MPT) and large power transformers (LPT), while small power transformers (SPT) exports increased slightly.
