CGPISL produces India’s first 132 kV ester oil transformer

India has successfully tested its first 132 kV ester oil transformer.
India’s Compton Greaves Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (CGPISL) Business unit (T2-Malanpur) achieved another milestone on the successful completion of 132 kV ester oil transformer .
The transformer was tested with an overloading of 35%, greater than the standard overloading test of 25%.
As was as increased efficiency, the natural oil replacement brings with it environmental benefits as well, and can be made from relatively simple crops such as soybean canola, and rapeseed.
