Collett & Sons deliver two heavy transformers
British logistics firm Collett & Sons has delivered two large transformers to the Sellindge Substation.
The two transformers, each weighing in at 335 tonnes, were shipped in partnership with German transport firm Daher Projects GmbH.
Both transformers were picked up by Collett & Sons at the Port of Dover, where they were subsequently loaded onto their 79.5m long Scheuerle girder bridge trailer.
The heavy cargo then took six and a half hours to travel the 30 miles until the Sellindge Substation in Ashford, Kent.
Once successfully unloaded, Collett & Sons returned to Dover to pick up the second transformer at a later date.
