Ellevio AB has opened tender on a 150 MVA power transformer for the Sälen substation in Sweden.

The Swedish electricity distribution company has ordered a single transformer, which will be connected to the 130 kV network on the HV side and 50 kV on the LV side.

The 150 MVA power transformer must be delivered by the third quarter of 2020, while the start date for work is given as 12/11/2019.

The contract is not subject to EU funding and no financial value has yet been publicly applied to the project, however the company states that price is not the only award criteria.

The deadline for the receipt of tenders is 23/08/2019.

Sälen is a small town in central Sweden with a relatively small population, yet which also hosts the longest and largest cross country ski race in the world, as well as being home to seven alpine ski resorts.
