Chinese telecom giant Huawei has announced a series of energy solutions at the 24th World Energy Congress hosted in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Typically seen as purely a telecoms business, Huawei presented, amongst other things, their plans for an “Intelligent Distribution Transformer”.
Other solutions included a 5G Sharing Base Station Solution, 5G Mining Solution, Intelligent AI Power Line Inspection Solution, Intelligent Distribution Transformer, plus Edge Computing and Global Electric Power Industry Ecosystem Layout, said Ji Xiang, general manager of the Energy Business Department in Huawei.
Huawei shared thoughtful insight into 5G, AI, cloud and how they are reshaping the energy industry and building the core of a digital world to accelerate the transformation of the energy industry from digitalization to intelligence, he added.
“The development of human civilization is closely linked with energy evolution. Huawei is dedicated to cooperating with partners and customers to make intelligent energy a reality,” said Ji.
The 24th World Energy Congress kicked off on Monday, gathering participants from around 150 countries and regions to explore new energy futures, critical innovation areas, and new strategies.
