Pfisterer appoints new board member

PFISTERER Holding AG has appointed Dr. Konstantin Kurfiss as a new member of the Management Board alongside Stephan Götschel.

Dr. Kurfiss has more than 15 years’ experience in the field of power transmission technology. As of 1 January 2020, he assumes overall responsibility for sales and technology at PFISTERER.

Dr. Konstantin Kurfiss moves from his previous position as Managing Director and Vice President Cable Accessories Sales at NKT to the Management Board of PFISTERER Holding AG. He has more than 15 years of experience in electrical power transmission and distribution technology, which he acquired in various roles at Pfisterer from 2005 to 2013.

Most recently during this period, his main responsibility was for international sales. As a new member of the Management Board alongside Stephan Götschel, Dr. Kurfiss assumes overall responsibility for sales and technology at PFISTERER from 1 January 2020.

It is a great pleasure for me to return to my old workplace to take on new tasks and contribute to the success of our customers’ projects,” Dr. Kurfiss said. “We are delighted to welcome back an experienced expert in the industry who knows our company well,” commented Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Blättchen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PFISTERER Holding AG.

By mutual agreement between PFISTERER Holding AG and its former CEO Martin Billhardt, he retired from the Management Board at the end of 2019. The Supervisory Board expresses its special thanks to Martin Billhardt for his work on the Management Board, in the course of which he helped to lead the company through difficult times and lay the foundations for future success. Martin Billhardt will remain associated with the company as a consultant and support the Management Board in selected projects.
