German transformer production value up by 26% year-on-year

The value of production for electrical power transformers in Germany has leapt by 26% for the first quarter 2020 compared to the same quarter in 2019. 

According to German real-time business intelligence provider Fygen, there has been an increase of 22% for medium and large power transformers (those rated over 10 MVA), while the value of production for smaller distribution transformers increased by 47%.

The average value for all sizes of transformers is at 26% for the first quarter 2020.

The up-to-date statistical data covers the value of production for all sizes of electrical power transformers exceeding a capacity of 1 MVA. The coverage includes small, medium and large-sized transformers, as well as distribution transformers. The data is updated at the end of each quarter.
