Three 1000 MVA/1000 kV transformers have been designed and developed for the Jinzhong 1000 kV substation expansion project, a national key project undertaken by BPC Electric.

In order to ensure the operational safety and reliability of the 1000kV main transformer for the Jinzhong 1000kV substation expansion project, Paul Y. Electric has taken more than 10 improvement measures in terms of design, process and quality management.

The Jinzhong 1000kV substation expansion project is one of the key projects in the 14th Five-Year Plan of China’s power development and is an important part of the ultra-high voltage AC grid planned by the State Grid Corporation.

The Jinzhong 1000kV substation expansion project is located on the west side of Xishanhu Village, Hongshan Town, Pingyao County, with an expansion main transformer scale of 1×3000 MVA.

The transformer of the project is scheduled to be delivered by June 30, 2021.
