BPC Electric has exported two sets of BKS-40MW/110kV reactors to Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea New City Energy Storage Project.

The product is a 40MW, 110kV, 60Hz shunt reactor with a three-phase integrated, five-column core air gap structure, oil-air pluggable cable terminals for the high-voltage outlet, and oil-air three-casing outlet structure for the neutral point.

It has the advantages of low vibration, low noise, low cost, small installation area and reliable operation. The product adopts a number of national patented technologies and has completely independent knowledge and novel product design structure.

This order is another breakthrough in the “One Belt, One Road” market and fills the gap in the manufacturing performance of 110kV reactors by BPC Electric. By now, the export of reactors from BPC Electric has achieved full coverage of 110kV, 220kV, 330kV, 400kV, 500kV and 750kV voltage levels. The successful signing of the project will also lay the foundation for the large-scale export of reactor products in the future.

The Red Sea New City Energy Storage Project is part of Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” plan. The project’s energy storage scale reaches 1300MWh, which will be the world’s largest energy storage project and the world’s largest off-grid energy storage project, and has a benchmark demonstration effect on the development of the global energy storage industry.
